They told us it was evil to pray to anyone besides Jesus or the whitemalegod<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Help us, sweet dark lady of the night, holy winged figure of the light\u2014rageful, wise judge, warmest heart, soulful visionary, You who dwell within each of us, You who holds the key to our heart, our mafteyakh ha-lev.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes a prayer is to ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes a prayer is to a part of ourselves that deserves recognition, warmth, honor, respect … call it an archetype, a myth, a Goddess …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

but Call Her<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allow us always to remember our inner strengths, to come from a place of understanding and so standing in our own power, to feed and celebrate our ruakh<\/em>, our\u00a0neshamah<\/em>, our lifeforce<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us not be swayed from our goals.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Call her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She will come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I first started turning towards myself and looking inside, I had to work through my childhood and conditioning. I had been told that Tarot cards were evil. That the Catholic church was the only way to reach God and salvation. That I must always look towards a priest at the pulpit and in the Bible for answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what of the 69% of the world that are not Christian? Surely there is good there. Hell would be quite full if all of them went there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I came to the conclusion that ‘control’ was at its root. As it has been in so many instances.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Imagine that. Thinking for yourself. And giving yourself permission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I gave myself permission to find Divinity in whatsoever way most fit: in the woods, under a full moon, singing in a Circle, in the cry of a newborn, in the wrinkles of the very old, inside my own heart …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like Lilith, I said ‘No’, I will not lie quietly and submissively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She of all knowing, dark wisdom \u2026 She of the deep abyss, snake\u2019s descent, owl\u2019s knowing \u2026 woman of the dark, the light.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us recognize and hold this as a time of healing \u2026 of creating new roles for ourselves \u2026 weaving new threads of oneness and wonder as together we continue to forge new paradigms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ishtar, Lilith, Shekhinah \u2026 keeper of the Mystery<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Holy Mother, Source of All, Goddess of earth and sky, rivers and mountains, night and day, highest and lowest planes of our existence, and beyond,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We seek to embody your sacred passion, your wisdom, your strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
