Digital Detoxing on Sunday and Look Where it Leads Me! Blodeuwedd Being Born from the Ninth Wave!

*Featured in picture. Not AI. Really. Just messy, real Me. I first encountered Blodeuwedd on Judith Shaw’s Celtic Goddess Oracle Deck. A wonderful Oracle deck: check it out!

Sunday is my “No Electronics” day.  I do my best to stay away from electronics.  No social media.  No news.  I turn the lights off and the air down. I light candles and incense.

I get more things done around my house.  I talk more to my partner. I turn to books.

It’s always quite difficult when I wake up not to turn to my phone, but by the afternoon, I almost remember ‘normal’.

Last Sunday, I read the Celtic Tradition by Caitlin Matthews

Who Are the Celts?

… the Celts did not call themselves this, no did they speak ‘Celtic’.  They thought of themselves as Bretons, Irish, British or Gaels. Earlier than the Roman invasion, they probably thought of themselves as the people of such -and-such tribe.’

… The Celts are known to have established themselves in Europe, in a wide swathe from what is now Hungary to the Western seaboard of Europe, during the first millennium BC. Their distinctive art and tribal customs are known to us through archaeology and through the observations of Classical writers. In the fourth-century BC, the Greek writer Ephoros said that the Celts were one of four great barbarian people of the (known) world the Libyans in Africa, the Persians in the East and , in Europe, the Scythians and the Celts. 44

The Ninth Wave

Lo’ and behold, the next paragraphs I am reading have to do with ‘The Ninth Wave’.

#theNinthWave #theWomenAreComing is a collaboration effort that the divine feminine app started a couple of years ago for us women doing this work to inspire and support each other in bringing on this ‘new world’ in this time of transition.

At the time, I knew very little of this concept of the Ninth Wave, it just called me.  So did Blouddeuwedd.

I put together a weekend on my land and Bloudeuwedd figured into it.  See this post here that I did about Blodeuwedd and the ‘Importance of Carving Your Own Way.’

So imagine my surprise when I read the following paragraph:

It is from the magical waters of the ninth wave that Blodeuwedd is formed by Math and Gwydion in their attempt to find a wife who is not of mortal race for the unfortunate Lleu Llaw Gyffes. 17

Did I know this before?  Maybe.  Maybe I heard it somewhere. Somehow.  But I do not think so.  I remember that the concept of ‘the Ninth Wave’ just came to me.

Intuition. Follow it.
